This outfit never happened. I mean, I wore it. I took these photos. I fancied up, but then the occasion never occurred as planned. So I vowed to wear the same outfit — green eye shadow and all — the very next weekend.
That didn’t happen either.
Again, I put this entire look back on and then the temperature dropped to freezing. One quick glance to my equally fancy (and half naked) sister and we both shimmied into jeans and scarves. Well played weather, well played.

If you could even believe it, I’m getting a little sick of throwing the wellies on because of inclement weather. It’s been pouring on and off for a few days now, and luckily there was a break yesterday and I saw my opportunity to wear pumps and jumped on it.
I hit the Last Hurrah sale on Modcloth like a crazy woman, and out of everything I got, this top and necklace are my favorite. Well, there is this one dress … you’ll just have to wait and see!
I didn’t mean to match my umbrella to the iPhone case. At least I don’t think I did, maybe subconsciously? I actually got this umbrella in Oklahoma City at the J.Crew outlet that day it poured rain. I kinda really sorta actually love it.

I’m back in California and apparently I brought the cooler temperatures with me from the Midwest, giving me the perfect excuse to wear my newest acquisition. Let’s face it, the boots steal the show.
It’s really a first world problem, the plight of a spoiled white girl if you will — but finding the perfect black leather boot is nearly impossible. Either you look like a hooker, a motorcycle cop or a neo-Nazi activist (thanks to my friend Kerry for that). These boots, with the cute buttons, folding details and low wedge heel make them more trendy than trashy.
I know I’m bordering on street walker in this outfit overall, but it was still mild enough for bare legs and I have yet to find any cute tights for the season. The problem with the heavy skirt length sweater paired with a breezy short skirt is easy enough to imagine. I had to check my hem frequently for, uh, issues. Street walker, indeed.
