Saturday we celebrated our parent’s 30 year anniversary with a small dinner party at a local restaurant. Together they make one awesome set who have raised two semi-normal healthy adults without driving either of them to a life of meth addiction and Vegas one-night-stands. Bravo parental units, bravo! 

No really, they’re pretty great. The dinner was a surprise that I set up with many of our friends and family. My dad caught my nasty cold from the week before and he was feeling a little better than warmed over death. With complete faith and love for his daughters he agreed to still go to dinner with us, having no idea that many more people were there to celebrate. Like a trooper, he stuck it out in high spirits. Good man.

I knew it would be chilly, so I opted for tights and something I could easily toss a blazer over. This top was another find from the thrift store the day I got in my car accident. It’s a bit tight, but I couldn’t pass it up. If you’re anything like me, when it’s just a smidge tight you let it slip and hope you lose a few pounds or that it will be seen as edgy rather than trashy. The fact that there are mesh and satin panels makes this top pretty great no matter what. Oh and the sparkles.
