Rather than battle hoards of drunk NYE party goers in notoriously crazy Downtown Chico, we fancied up the night before and had some good times with a few close friends. After tossing back a few martinis, Dana and I scampered out into the chill and attempted some flash photography.

For the most part, we figured it out. As you’ll see in the next picture — we have some learning to do. I think the “arm party” picture looks awesome, but in case you really want to know whose in attendance on that arm of mine, I included an Instagram shot from a few days prior. We spent a quiet NYE the next night at home with my parents before we headed out Sunday morning for Oklahoma. We’re currently in Bakersfield — our first stop along the way — visiting with family.
